Came for small lunch as going out for dinner. We opted for 3 entrees. They were superb, each was an absolute taste sensation and beautifully presented. First photo, the dumplings, we had already had two before I took the photo. Second, the spring rolls, the same, I had eaten more than half. Finally the beautiful tacos I remembered to take a photo before we ate them! Had a glass of wine each also. Beautiful spot to eat looking over the gorgeous coastline. Will be back for sure when in Warrnambool!
The view was good and the inside was pretty but the outside doesn’t look that good. The food was amazing and the drinks so was the service and I will come back when I am in the area.
Evening meal comprised of several entrees and was excellent. Front of house staff was warm and friendly and made menu tweaks to make our dining experience perfect. The kitchen staff that brought out some of the food were also great. Couldn't be happier and they deserve our highest praise and thanks. Absolutely recommend Seaview.
Great view of the ocean, nice music with good food, what can you ask for more? Had the clam chowder it was excellent with loads of sea food. Wife had a great pumpkin ravioli. Kids pizza was soso. Service was quick and positive. Price is on the higher end but this is a beach restaurant so it's expected. Would come again.
Wedding Reception Venue Attended a Wedding Reception a few years ago when it was under the name of Simon's Waterfront. Great venue with a large bar, plenty of room to move, ample seating both indoor and outdoor and a spectacular view of the water
Honestly the best seafood chowder in a bread bowl I've had anywhere - the seafood was fresh, chowder tasted great, and the bread bowl was delicious and perfectly toasted. Actually managed to finish the whole bread bowl with a bit of help. It was a bit pricey but considering the quality of the whole thing I was willing to pay it. My partner had the fish and chips - the fish was great but the chips were pretty lacklustre comparatively. The view was also pretty nice, though the service was a admittedly slow. I have a feeling they were a bit understaffed considering it was in between Christmas and the New Year. Would totally come back just for the chowder in a bread bowl.
My girlfriend and I were wanting some yummy seafood on our great ocean road road trip and we came across the Seaview. We ordered the seafood chowder and I cannot express the visceral reaction of excitement we both had after that first taste. The chowder was creamy, the seafood was flavourful and buttery and even the salad was a joyous side to the dish. I have never in my life had such beautiful seafood and I will wonder why I’ve ever eaten seafood elsewhere before. I highly recommend this joint, only assuming the other seafood items are as beautiful as this one and that their other items are also yummy. The service was great. A warm welcome and fast service when we arrived. We were met with a lovely attitude which was much appreciated. The restaurant is surrounded by windowed walls that allows you to enjoy the view of the sea while dining. It was very comfortable. The prices are fair and the options are inclusive. What a lovely time.
Really good quality restaurant on the beach with ocean view. There is a good range of seafood options along with other meals at reasonable and affordable prices. It is a casual dining place, so you select a table, choose whatever you like from the menu and order at the kitchen bar and pay. The food is delicious, so you can’t go wrong with anything from the menu. I would heartily recommend a visit especially after you’ve just enjoyed time on the beach. They do breakfast until 12 noon, so they also have a good breakfast menu. If you’re there for seafood, then this is the place to be.
We highly recommend to prebook when dining. The place gets busy and full quickly. The waitress I believe was "Timmy" did a great job attending to all the guests arriving, seating them and taking the drink and meal orders. The bar staff also were integral working as a team to facilitate the process and also taking orders and bringing them out. Shout out to the kitchen staff we couldn't see. Great work. The views during the day are great looking out to the bay from the balcony seating or inside the restaurant, setting the ambiance.. The meals came out and didn't disappoint. Seafood Chowder bowel was absolutely yummo. Finished the whole thing! I highly recommend this restaurant for a memorable dining experience.
The seafood chowder was absolutely outstanding! Rich, creamy and perfectly balanced, the chowder was packed with generous pieces of fresh seafood, each bite bursting with flavour. The sauce was indulgent without being heavy, letting the natural sweetness of the seafood shine through. You could really taste the care and quality in every spoonful. Comforting, satisfying and beautifully seasoned, it was the ultimate feel-good meal and hearty enough to fill you up, yet refined enough to feel special. Without a doubt, one of the highlights of the menu and a dish I’d happily return for again and again.
